Jennifer's 1995 Honda Odyssey finally croaked this week after 187,000 good miles and even more spilled juice boxes, melted crayons, and back seat boogers. We took the easy way out and just sold it to our mechanic for a pittance. Then we went car shopping, which is still as unpleasant and confusing as it was before the Internet. You can walk in with all your online research and the sales people still want to treat you like a chump...which I guess I am. Anyway, we started out with a disappointing visit to Saturn to check out the Vue Hybrid, for which we decided "green" is less about better gas mileage that it is about the greenbacks the dealership can get from you for wanting to help the environment. So we decided to get something with good gas mileage, but not limit ourselves to hybrids...just yet. So, after checking the Consumer Reports rankings we decided to check out Toyota, Honda, and Kia. Long story short...we bought a Kia Sedona. We were very impressed with the warranty, features, and price. We're still considering names for it, but I'm lobbying heavily to call it "Rick Stillwell Jr."
In memory of our late Honda, here's some photos I took last year when I entered it in a "Messiest Car Contest."

Well, technically, I'm already Rick Stilwell and a "Jr." - plus, not with a Kia. I'm thinking "Bob the Kia" might be a swell name. I'll ask Jeeves what he thinks.
How 'bout Paul?
He'll be hurt if you don't.
yoy!
Dear George,
Naming cars is stupid.
Sincerely,
Herbie the Love Bug
I took Kyle's advice and suggested to my wife that we name the car after Paul. She said she wasn't about to have a car named "Codsack". :)
Hmmph! Women...
