I know what you mean, but we did get a new prez. No matter your persuasion, there is hope. Here's to a much better '09. Happy birthday, my friend. Musta sucked having a birthday so close to Christmas growing up.
That's out everyday table champaigne at our house. Just kidding. I took a picture of that at the grocery store, but didn't buy it. Too pricey for my budget, plus cammpaigne gives me a wicked headache.
2008 was actually more of a rollercoaster for me too, with many good times. But the holidays are tough when you've lost a loved one, and I've been really bummed about missing my grandfather.
Nevertheless, there were many high points such as my 40th birthday jam, a couple of great backpacking trips, some great mountain biking adventures, and, of course, precious time with my wife and children.
Let's all pray that 2009 will bring more peace and health and less poverty and hunger.

Did you buy that fine bottle of ChamPagne?
2008 was very jekyll and hyde for me. I know that I complained alot about work, but my "real" life was pretty good.
