Signs it's Game Week

I saw this pickup truck tonight while driving home from a church meeting. I've started keeping a camera in my car for just such opportunities, so I snapped a quick photo at a traffic light. Two facts are clear:
1) Carolina/Clemson football weekend is coming, and
2) My side mirror REALLY needs to be cleaned.

Extreme Clean Services

In my career I have become increasing involved in my company's marketing and advertising initiatives. Although I'm no expert, one of the seemingly obvious observations about advertising is that quality really makes a difference. This has made me especially sensitive to noticing really bad advertising campaigns, especially locally. Therefore, I have decided that whenever I see some kind of home-made, low-budget, advertising, I'm going to post pictures of it on my blog.

Below is the van for a company named Extreme Clean Services. I know this because it was written on the door in Sharpie and stenciled on the side panels in spray paint. I really like the way the black Sharpie ink contrasts with the white, spray-can, paint job. I don't know much about this company other than they clean the Piggly Wiggly store windows. I didn't stick around to see if they concluded by writing "Piggly Wiggly" on the windows in Sharpie.

Ultimate Fighters Wanted

While on my "school drop-off run" this morning, I saw the sign pictured below. It says "Ultimate Fighters Wanted" in spray-painted, stenciled letters on an orange piece of plywood. I wonder if these "ultimate fighters" will be training in a real karate studio or in some guy's garage. I'll probably never know, because "the first rule of fight club, is never talk about fight club."
