Peanuts 'n Coke

This is a variation of an ole Southern snack my pal Alan passed on to me. Apparently farmers used to dump a sleeve of salted peanuts (like the ones you get at a gas station) into a bottle of Coke, so they could partake of both with one hand while driving a tractor. Apparently, tractor etiquite requires one to use a glass bottled Coke, but I used a Diet Coke in a plastic bottle. Sorry if that offends any of you 'uns.

I am a Yankee. Up North we dump our peanuts in lard and cover the whole deal with bacon. Them's good peanuts.

I love peanuts in Coke. You do get funny looks anywhere but the South. My dad showed me this as well. Good memories!

They should make a Nutella type spread that tastes like Coke and Peanuts. That would be the stuff!

Ordinary Guy has introduced me to some great blogs since we started one of our own. I just started reading yours and I love it. Ours is TomandJudyonablog and I would love for you to come visit. Tom writes about politics. My posts are mostly random.

In Alabama we were more into RC's and Moon Pies, but would drink an occasional coke with peanuts. NO PEPSI where I come from though. It just does not taste the same. Blaaah!
